I just wanted to say hi. And see how you were doing!

Oh! Well, I guess I'm doing alright. It's been a bit of an adjustment, having two bonded now.

Really, you have two now? I only recently got my first.

I guess you're just that much more popular than me.

You have a bond now? That's great! It must be a real relief! I know they're difficult to get used to.

They're a little unusual, but it turns out we feel pretty similarly about a bunch of things. It only seemed natural, you know?

I just hope I don't screw it up.

It's a little difficult to explain properly.

[Not really, they felt pretty similarly about a number of subjects. It was just, the subjects weren't something she necessarily wanted to talk about.]

Oh, um...!

Their name is Bendy! They're pretty small, and it doesn't look like they can say anything!

[beariot]

Oh! I know them! Little spritely, imp looking person? They were such a sweetheart to me when I arrived!

[loadme]

Ahah, that's them! We spent a bit of time skygazing when they were turned red, and before that, we had a conversion over the little devices.

[And then a life-threatening experience.]

I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I was already going on a few months without one, and it wasn't looking good!

[beariot]

Well it's good you found such an empathetic person. I'm sure they appreciate you, too.

[loadme]

I hope so, though I can't help but feel like I should be doing more.

[beariot]

You're a source of mana and a source of comfort to your bonded. I think so long as you remain your usual sweet self, you'll be fine.

[ Monika's mental state, her struggles with isolation and depression, weren't lost on Ursula either, but she had a feeling Bendy would be understanding of that. They'd at least endeavor to make her smile when he could, most likely. ]

[Sweet.

Not really the sort of word she'd use to describe herself by any means. Though honestly? Monika wasn't being too fair to herself. How she used to be, and what she was like now... They may as well have been two completely different people.]

Who are the lucky ones you've bonded with?

[ She supposed it was only fair for Monika to ask. ]

Well, Fang was my first bonded. She's an outdoors-y type, stronger than she looks (and she looks pretty strong), and the sort of eyes you can just get lost in. [ Wait, that was gay, reel it back Ursula. ] I mean, she's just got a charisma about her that's hard to ignore.

And then there's Kaede. She's a lot more skittish, really anti-social, but I could tell she was desperately lonely. She reached out to me when she really needed it, and I've been with her since then.

[loadme]

[She liked Ursula so much, seeing her talk like that about other people... She couldn't help but feel jealous. Bitter, even. But it's a feeling that's all too familiar, which has Monika catching herself before the feelings even have a chance to fester.

This was her chance to be a better person.]

I'm happy for you, I really am! I'm glad that you're all there for each other.

It can be a handful sometimes. The Bond intensifies a lot of things and it can get overwhelming.

[loadme]

I believe you can handle it. I may not have known you for very long, but I feel that you're pretty capable, and strong.

[beariot]

I'm glad you have that kind of faith in me. Difficult as it can be, though, I'm happy to do it. I definitely want to do all I can to help folks here.
